Image of the Executive Home at Angler's Isle Northwoods Resort. The island camp is located near the south shore of Mamie Lake and is accessible by footbridge or short boat ride. The famous Bent’s Camp is just across the bay, and there are only a few private homes in this quiet section of the lake.

The four main structures on the island are not winterized, but each is equipped with propane or electric heaters for the cooler weather. The televisions have DVD players as well as satellite TV.

The island sleeps 20 persons comfortably, although there is room for larger groups depending on the number of adults. Some guests have been known to set up their own tents, which is a fun way to fit a few extra bodies.

The Weewaunchu Lodge

The living and dining area is the central gathering place of the lodge. The full-cut log construction, fieldstone fireplace, large windows and cozy antique furniture make this an inviting space. The living area extends to a spacious screened-in porch, which is a terrific place to take in the breeze from the lake. The lodge provides about 1,900 sq. ft. of living space, plus the approximately 400 sq. ft. screen porch.

There are two boat stalls, storage room, and an aerated holding tank for bait. The sizable deck around the boathouse gets plenty of sun and is a great place to watch the kids swim. It has also been used as a sound stage for live entertainment at special events.

The second floor entrance opens to the main living room, whose windows provide scenic lake views. There are three bedrooms. One has a king bed and the others each with two twins. There is a small bathroom with shower and a small kitchen with oven, stove and refrigerator. The total living space is about 1,000 sq. ft.
